So, in my last post, I said that I was applying to do my PGCE. I did that, I had my interview and I got an offer from Northampton University to do it. I’m one of 40 students on the course and I’m super proud to say that I got the place.
Lots of planning later and a few nerves, and it was interview day. I had my lesson planned, all my resources printed and copied, and my documents they needed copied. My interview time was 8:30am, so naturally I got there at 8am. This was so I could park and, without rush, find out where I was supposed to be. I had to do a 5 minute introduction to a new topic for a year 1 class. This was difficult, but somehow I pulled it off. After this was a 20 minute long interview where I was asked several questions about teaching.
Two long days after the interview, I found out I had an offer. So, as of September 2017, I will be training to be a teacher!! I am so excited, and my dream is finally coming true! I’ve worked so hard and things are finally happening. 15 GCSEs, 3 A-levels, 1 degree and 1 years experience and I am finally where I want to be.
